For those thinking, of building a 3 wheeled design,... other than a Morgan. The German, Airship (1935) design article, says it did produce a single seat, no fender version

That kart is a gravity racer, which is running down Curtis Road at Tamborine Mountain 60klms west of where i live.
My brother had two karts entered in that race.
