Brian,

Though you may have made a rod for your own back with the drilling, you have to do it your own way, or you'll never be satisfied with it. However much (or little) weight you save it's a great look, I envy your craftsmanship. I've made the opposite decision for my build once I get started, I'm going for minimum work, quickest build, without compromising the final look. Knowing me I'll run out of steam otherwise and end up with another part finished project.

Like that seat Brian, nice fit, it came out real nice. Only thing missing
from that Bomber Seat are the HOLES!!!

Yeah.....we know Vitaliy, you got the fever also!

Brian's kart will be nothing short of custom with his
background.
For a while I thought he was serious about using the
Ford tractor seat.

I am using that tractor seat!
Hope to find an aluminum one for my next kart........but this one only weight 1.8 lbs and I can weld to it, and I love the feel!
Have one as my welding stool........and love it.
It grabs you "just right" to eliminate forward or side was movement!!!!
Just you wait.
Brian
PS
Comes stock with holes pre drilled!

I think Denny was talking about the sides Brian?

In reply to # 24855 by carChips I think Denny was talking about the sides Brian?
Wait until he sees the new brake drums?
Hint: "Deep dish with extra cheese"
Look like I am off to Tieton with Don..........the CK will not make the trip with us, as I fell short of my goal.
NEXT YEAR!i

Ah ha, must be the farmer in you. Spent so much time on the
tractor that your rear quarter grew into it.
But.....as you say.....it does have holes.

Well, I have had little to report over the past 3 weeks since Tieton, just too busy here at the Farm.
Things got neglected while I was hold up in the CK Shop all spring train to make Tieton Grand Prix.
The juices are flowing again, and I just can't wait to get back at it (shop is nice and cool even though it has been in the mid to high 90's here everyday for the past three weeks)
We do have another major event here at the Farm next week that will gobble that time up (20Teardrop Trailers coming for a "Gathering" that we host) and then we are off to a Rod Run I have been attending for the pat 37 years.
BUT.........then it will be back to the Miller in ernest!smiling bouncing smiley
