Gyp,

Click on this link to "1925 Speedway Racer" post #3 has a link to Dennis's process drawings. There is a well setout drawing of the chassis he designed.

I know that it is not as polished as the other plans here, but this was a quick drawing I did in google's SketchUp. This was just to get the basics of the design for dimensions, wich all changed once the pieces started coming together.

Skye, I found this picture on this site, and was wondering if you had any more pictures of this car, and what kind of car is it? I would like to model my cart after it. I guess if I had of looked at the heading I would of seen it was an MG-K3.

Hi Victor, yes I believe it's an MG Magnette K3

Victor,

Welcome to the Cyclekart club. The two cars above are both MG K3. They are possibly the most famous or iconic shape of pre-war MGs, from 1933 with a 1100cc 6 cylinder engine. I was basing my kart build on the K3 using the classic Stevenson set out. Have a look at the drawing attached below to see if it helps you as a beginning as well as a set of K3 blueprints.

David.

Thanks David, the K3 is the perfect shape for a cart, and the drawing you provided tells a huge story. Although for a cart the lay out will have to be modified to just one seat. For the bonnet I was thinking of rolled tin or gal, and the tail I was going bondo over wood. Do a bunch of rips in the back of a sheet of plywood and bend it that way. I'm just collecting parts right now, I'll start a thread on the build when I get it going.

Hi Guys,
Here is a set of preliminary drawings that I made a year ago when I started my kart. There should be enough information here to get a kart started.

This is the design so far. It might be edited a little bit, My kart is going to be pretty custom, its gunna be a 2 seater, with a detachable cover.
