Hi everybody.
My name is Paulo and I live on Curitiba, Brazil. My son and me are working hard to build a Cyclekart . Indeed I'm a passionate by cars for a long time, since my childhood, when I dreamed on build my own cars from scrap wood and my father gave me my first handsaw!!!
Actually my principal activity is as photographer and design, but with some skills on wood and cabinetmaking, we start the project using plywood for the basic structure, and now we're working with fiberglass to complete the body of a car based on Austin Healey 100. It was my first experience with fiberglass. Between my many activities as a photographer, I work for a club of vintage car collectors , so I've created a group on Facebook and now we count on 43 members among them, there are engineers of the automotive industry, in the past, owners of their own business, designers, mechanics, ex-racing pilots, vintage car collectors, and overall car lovers. There, we try to have a broad concept, where the cyclekarts serve only as the starting idea. We discuss a lot of related subjects as mini cars, concept cars, cyclecars, trying to focus on this as an aspect for enviromental and traffic solutions, but of course don´t forgeting the fun too!
I hope I can learn in the Club.
cheers
That's the preview of our project ...

Paulo,

Welcome to the Cyclekart club.
The more i read and follow Cyclekart the more international the hobby is.
I am an architect in Australia and very interested in classic sports cars, mostly MGs, I currently enjoy an MGA I restored with my father. My father owned a MK11 Austin Healey Sprite when i was a young boy. Your sketch above reminds me of the car as it was also yellow.
I look forward to seeing more of your Cyclekart project as well as the Cyclekart projects from group. Please like us on your facebook page to spread the word. (its at the top of the front page)
Please post some photos and drawing of when you currently are in the project and how you got to where you are. It would be an interesting project to see as most classic Cyclekarts are based on pre-war design with exposed wheels.

Once again welcome.

David

Hi David,

Thanks by your nice message! it's always good to meet people who enjoy the same things, specially when they are vintage car enthusiasts like MG or Austin Healey, that's my passion.
About the Facebook. I've had already liked the page, including I posted the announcement of this new Cyclekart Club site, some days ago ! ... I don´t blame the people to not enroll on the Club because of the language barrier, of course !!! In the same way, I would like to invite you, and every one of other members of this Club, to know our group on Facebook ...(Cyclekart & mini carros)... there you'll see other photos of my project !!! Please, search for my public profile on Facebook (Paulo Delavigne) and will be my pleasure to introduce you, and the others, into the group.

Let´s keep in contact !

Cheers

Thanks ChrisK for the message and for your interest in my project ... actually our group on facebook is a closed group ... today I've admited a person who appeared requesting ... that's the link to the group https://www.facebook.com/groups/114335698694833/ ... but you must be subscribed to facebook! Anyway, I'm preparing material for posting on my own website, where I'll see if I can open a special page for my project ... not yet I have so much to show beyond a few drawings and some photos of the work of molding the body in fiberglass, most of them made with my mobile, although I am a professional photographer (embarrassed) hahaha!!! I promise I'll enhance the photos in the second stage of the work !!! Please wait my post within the next days, as soon as I can !!!

thanks
