I know there are a lot of members from the West Coast and Canada (and of course the UK). I'm from NJ so those of you in the centres of the Cyclekart Capital need not reply.

If you are from any Atlantic Coast state (Maine, NH, Mass, CT, NY, NJ, PA, MD, Washington, VA, NC, SC or GA or are driving distance from these states) and have a CK pulse...please just give your first name and tell us if you have any interest in meeting other enthusiasts (to say hello, meet for a drink, meet at a CK club event...or anything) and who enjoy this exciting hobby as much as most of the members on this site.

No commitment...just a poll kind of thing. I'm getting discouraged because there is not any type of a critical mass to start a "movement"............

Well...........there are at least 2 people who have an hour or 2 drive from the Atlantic Ocean...

We need a critical mass.............................

Oh, not California Tom. Although there's an argument....
I refer to the lame response Mark is getting around N.J.
Nothing but crickets from back there.

You guys are being a little ruff on our California friends.
Aren't they being taxed enough to be punished any more.
Most of my Ca. friends are from Jefferson State.
Good Roads

Based on the other threads and attempts by several members to build excitement on the East Coast...it really is not going that well......aren't there any other SILENT members who are interested in this wacky pastime? This is not binding commitment...just a show of interest.

BTW - I just got confirmation from a close friend that he will be willing to build a CK if I decide to jump into the circle. We would build the 2 together. However, if I jump into the circle...I want a safety net.

How do you eat an elephant...one bite at a time...Any others??

Can I be blunt...?

If we can't develop a critical mass in the East Coast...I will be deeply disappointed in the leaders of this forum.

Tell me why there hasn't been any significant involvement from the Patriarchs to further a national program?

I hope I'm not abused and ostracized for posting this message....

In the past month there seems to have been a lot of interest and new members coming out of the woodwork to this Forum.
How many do you think you need before you get started?
It won't happen overnight, but it will happen and you have to start somewhere.
Decide on your "Carrot" and hang it from the tree!
Good Luck

And there are no "leaders" here. LOL I've been here since the beginning and enjoy reading everything, but haven't built anything. Too many other car projects and life and everything.

I think going ahead and building a kart would do more to get others in your area involved than just asking for commitments before you commit.

So Rick
Besides personal issues that are none of my business.
What was the main factor that has held you back?
And according to your "joined date", how have you been able to contain yourself?
Brian
