Looks like a circuit made for a Cyclekart Steve. Hope you have a good enough
turn out so you can leave the gokart community with a good impression of Cyclekarts.
Just spent about 20 minuets trying to learn a bit more about the circuit. Not much
info published. How big is the circuit? How long are the straights?
From what they have published, the fees look very reasonable.
Would be great to see 8 or 10 karts out there on the track.

I know you said that math is not your strong suit. The course has markers with distance from start to finish the total looks to be over 3600 ft almost .7 of a mile. You might be able to enlarge the image enough to see them and do the math it isn’t a perfect method but it will give you an idea of the straight and corners. the first straight is about 660 ft.

Seven tenths of a mile looks like it may be a standard for many of the gokart tracks.
The one by us is also .7 mi. and as I've been wasting my breath over for
the better part of a year, it would make an ideal venue for a Cyclekart outing.
Put the hook out Al and get as many guys to show up as you can. That
should be a blast. And make sure there are plenty of camera rolling so
we can savor the action sitting here in our rockers. Let us know how you
guys fair against the gokarts, time wise that is. I'll bet they will run rings
around the CK's.

Not at all Brian, just tryin' to scare up some response from the locals, whether
it's positive or negative. Unlike you guys out there in the west, we only get a few
months of really nice weather before the outdoor activities are curtailed.

WHOA......better slow dem horsey's down boys. Dave that's a 1100 mile trip
one-way for a few hours of track time. And Al, you're even worse at 2300 miles.
Hell, I'm almost as close to Tieton as you guys are to Victorville, CA., well........
not quite, (slight exaggeration for effect).
There has to be a better venue for you guys up in the North country. What about
the track at Kent Dave. That's right next door to your house. Heck....you can probably
hear them racing on the weekend. Have you ever approached them for the possible
use of the track in an off hour????
From their website:
THE TRACK
With the majestic 14,000 foot Mount Rainier as the backdrop, PGP Motorsports Park
is a 9/10th-mile asphalt track with a main straight approaching 800 feet in length and
30 feet in width. With up to 15 turns, the layout is designed so that horsepower can be
an advantage at the South end; longer straights and hard braking corners allowing for
maximum passing zones. But the North end is very technical rewarding the pilots with
the best driving skills.
Or Lakewood, or Mukilteo, or Spanaway, they're all over the place by you Dave. When
I talked with the manager of a gokart racing track here he said to bring a kart around
and we could give it a try. Another rental kart track a little further north sounded very
interested also, although their track is quite small for real gokart or Cyclekart racing.
These tracks are all around, we just need to start exploring the possibilities by introducing
the owner to CK's. I'm sure there is a lot of off hours that they would be more than
willing to rent track time for additional income.

I see the AZ bunch only has a 400 mile trip before lunch to go racing. But that
400 mile trek back home is gonna seem like 800. Steve, didn't you guys use the
Phoenix Kart Racing Association track a while back???? And wasn't that the
video where Carlos dominated the field??? So how did that go with the track
owners, and were you invited back??

There I go again......no kart but lots of ideas!!!!!! All wind and no...........

Well, if the mountain won't come to Mohammed...
It's really the event with other karts, short as it is, than the track. There are indeed some beauties around here, but some are full time kart rental operations. We also need some guys to get on the same page to approach facilities as a group. All this buildup and 2 of us are headed to Stanwood this Saturday. Not a peep from any G-ville guy. I'm not gonna rent an entire racetrack to run by myself for 2 hrs. If I went down to Victorville I'd be doing some other stuff down that way. Might even ship the car and fly down. I don't know.

We are also running on September 2 and 3rd in Boulder City, NV.

All Cyclekarts are welcome at all of our scheduled events.

Hope to see you all there. I will keep this updated, but the most up to date information is going to be found on our club facebook page.

Cheers,
Steve
