I made the 40 something mile trek to Tieton this morning and snagged a shady spot for my lawn chair and got the camera out and proceeded to take some photos.

I'm not positive of the number of cars but overall the quality was very high. Great looking cars and a few that were just flat fast.

I'll post some here trying to get a static photo of each car that raced and some race photos and then when I get them all loaded to Smugmug I'll post the link.

The black and gold car had a sound all it's own, more aggressive tire tread I think.

I think my camera has a thing for the red one.

Both of Albert's cars on the same post. I fell in love with the T last year but that Indy car just flat nails it.

Some last minute body work to make the field me thinks.

The yellow car is a work of art in every respect. Twin engine with a driveshaft running down the middle so both engines drive the rear axle. Show car smooth body work on the glass over wood body and the steering in an engineering marvel.

The black and wood one in between the yellow and green one is the Panhard, one of my all time favorites.

That should be all of the carts that were actually racing while I was there today.

Now for some racing. The cart in the second photo may have been making the sweep of the course.

Some of the races included a driver change or faux driver change.
