Thanks for posting the great photos....a lot of time and effort.....
I really enjoyed seeing the many different body styles and configurations of design..... Makes me want to start another Cycle Kart this winter..."New and Improved!"....my wife thinks she'd like to "race" as well, so you never know what will happen in the garage/shop in the winter months.... I'd love to get to Tieton some year.....only about 5600 miles! However, I plan to do a cross Canada tour to British Columbia and visit their CK Club, dropping down to California, Arizona etc to return via Route 66......I hope to fit in some CK events along the way, with Tieton #1 on the list..... Again, thanks for the photos....just makes me want to attend even more.....rodder-rick (Richard Wood, Moncton, NB, Canada)

Here’s a Google Earth shot of the orchard and hillclimb tracks.

Yellow is the orchard race, start/stop and staging area within the small loop on the north edge. A circuit was about 2 minutes.

Red line is the hillclimb.

I was going to suggest that others add their photos to the thread to keep them together.

This is the link to the Smugmug album with most of the photos I took on Saturday. They are unedited photos and some are rapid ire sequence photos or just people photos https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/2018-Tieton-Grand-Prix-Tieton-WA/

A few quick pictures..

Kurt’s modified Hispano Suiza (seriously changed from last year...lowered, narrowed and went on a diet) rear suspension worked very well.

Don’s car...& I think that is actually Don in the car.

Kurt trying out Robert’s beautiful new Lagonda

Dennis in the rebuilt Monocar at the orchard.....

Here are a few pics from Friday afternoon.

We had a chance to try out some very well built Cyclekarts. Its hard to choose a favorite, but the Bloody Mary and the Ferrari have to be at the top of the list.

My kid got to drive more than I did, LOL.

Here are some pics from the Campbell Cup from Sunday.

Perfect day for racing in an orchard.

The black and gold kart is the Honda Powered VKC AEI #10. The kart performed flawlessly the for the whole event. I drove in two heats on Saturday and won both. Brian Woods (whose own kart wasn't ready for race day) drove the same kart in two other heats and also won both.....So 4 first place finishes......not too shabby.

The kart was driven hard in the orchard and suffered 7 broken spokes...no problem we brought extra wheels.

The orchard event is as tough as I had heard rumored, but IMHO was more fun than the Grand Prix.
I especially enjoyed the 'King of the Hill Competition'.

My thanks to the organizers, we had a great time and definitely want to do it again.

I will have some videos that I will put up in the next few days.

Hey this past weekend was a blast in Tieton. Pretty laid back this year which I think added to the fun. Did more laps in the orchard than I thought I would ever get...finished the weekend without any breakdowns! Met many good people and had a great time, wish it wasn't over. Here are some pics from the weekend.
