Steve Vinson, Albert Lies, and I tried out a new track here in AZ last Friday.
Its a dirt oval, I believe its 1/5 mile around, surface is loose (not hard).

Track was great, but biggest revelation of the day was that I was able to lap the track 2 full seconds quicker on Albert Lies' #53 kart (3rd fastest cyclekart at 2018 Campbell Cup) than on the #23 VKC kart (fastest cyclekart at 2018 Campbell Cup).

#23 best lap time: 0m16s51
#53 best lap time: 0m14s49

2 seconds off on a 14.5 second span is a significant difference.
Puts the Campbell Cup... huh... **results** into a different perspective.

Al's kart is solid, very well built, handles very well at speed, and is easily the fastest and best handling cyclekart I've ever driven.
Great build. thumbs up thumbs up

If the track is indeed a 1/5 mile oval, a 14s49 lap = 49.69 mph average speed.

Made it home last night it’s been a great 2+ weeks for sure. Many thanks to Steve and Carlos for setting up the time at the Farm Mafia track and Denny you are correct it was a vary nice track. In addition it was great to see Carlos really make my CK run. They have a two-day event coming next month I would love to attend but I have spent my allowance for this year unless I hit something big on the lottery. If anyone has the opportunity to attend their event you will enjoy it great for sure.
