Well, just got back from work. Uk, North Sea, Holland, Curacao, Miami, home.
Been home 4 days and looked at two houses already in a bid to downsize pre ritrement next year.
Funny how these $230,000 homes are up for sale at $350,000 ??
Got about three weeks worth of work list to get through then it’s back on with the cycle kart build after too long of a hiatus.
The cyclekart seems to have gathered patina even before it’s finished.

Might have to be a BC clan Roast Beef n beer meet at my place in the near future.

So after a frustrating day and a half I have a hood in place with plus a couple of “parade” wing mirrors stolen from an electric buggy at the city dump. The hood is a temporary one made from an old aluminum sheet that is way to thick and heavy and was a complete pig to bend into any shape. Looks like I’ve had a engine fire already. Just need to add a faux rad shell to make it not so stubby looking though the photo exaggerates that look

That’s where I bought my tires 2 years ago. I get all my motorcycle tires from FortNine. My Postie brings them to my front door.

A November event you say? I’m in!

I finally went and purchased my frame metal but it’s off to Mexico for a friend’s wedding.

Hope all is well in the Cyclekart world.

Dang....I was headed out to the barn when I took a quick look at the latest posting. Now
my hot chocolate is getting cold and I gotta get back into the winter gear all over again!!!!

Those Laurel-Speedsters look like they are a perfect candidate for an ice racer Cyclekart.
With all the lakes you guys got up thar around Westbank, I would think there must be plenty
of spots you could run them in the winter.
Think you might have to chain drive a front engine back to the rear though. Not much
tail end to them. They'd probably be to top heavy for solid ground like Tieton or such.
And they would be a super simple build using the basic Stevenson formula with some
minor mods.

Well it has been a year since we gathered in the north end of the valley for a little inspiration. These pictures were taken on a much warmer day. The street is covered in frost this year.

But members returned to their shops with renewed enthusiasm and vigor. Since that time Martin has built his kart and is just finishing the body. Ed started his kart finished it and has been seen doing laps of his pasture. He was so delighted, he is well underway on his second CycleKart! And Woody has drilled some more holes in a bracket, and fitted a new air-cleaner!

Cheers everyone, and I hope we find lots of shop time this winter.
