Hi Guys,
I have finally finished painting the body to my cyclekart. It took me the entire month of December to finish the task but I am happy with the results. I still need to color sand and buff the finish but I can do that in an evening. I used PPG automotive basecoat/clearcoat. It is not cheap but the gloss is fantastic and the finish holds up well over time. I have used this paint on a half a dozen projects over the last 10 years and the finishes are still looking good.
I am currently taking the chassis apart for painting so my kart is in a hunderd pieces all over the shop. I will send more photos over the next few days. I am in a highly motivated state right now so I expect to accomplish alot the month. I started this project on March 1st 2012 and my goal is to have the kart finished by March 1st 2013....just in time for the warm weather here in Phoenix! Here are 4 photos that I took the other day.

Thanks for the comments guys! It is nice to have a club where we can share projects. Right now I am living and breathing this cyclekart when I am not earning a living! Work continues with the completion of the grill. I happen to have a spot welder so decided to weld the grill to a piece 16 ga steel (see photo) and it worked out well. I then painted it black and installed it in the kart. I attached 3 other photos. One of the steering wheel in progress, one of the bare chassis and another of the body with the grill in place. This week I am prepping the chassis and a bunch of metal parts for primer and paint. If I can finish the chassis then everything will start to come together. Thanks for following my progress!

Nice color. I was actually planing on painting mine blue. I have always liked baby blue, and the gold really goes good with it.
