Sorry Rick, I did not notice the question before. With the differential I wanted equal braking on both rear wheels instead of a disc on the differential body I put two discs, one on each axle. The benefit of that over the disc on the differential is that braking loads ( torque) is NOT transmitted through the diff but direct to the wheels. My concern was that although the peerless diff is rated to 10 HP so safe enough for the Honda brake loads might easily exceed that. So long story short two discs, two calipers so I decided to get some redundancy with each one having it's one MC. Probably a bit over engineered but so is the rest of it!
