Nice 'barn find'! Your kiwi barns are tidier than ours...

From Molecular analysis comparing the oil stain left on the ground at the 1953 NZ Grand prix in Dunedin to the one found under this car when discovered, It appears 99% certain it is from the Glen Murray express Alfa of Ron Roycroft . Its provenance is loosely supported too by the fact the type 13 Bugatti uncovered last year in the same Area was discovered to be that of his Fathers. Also in this "barn" was a Mk3 Tigress MG. Negotiations are underway on this.

Did I miss something? Was there a link or pic of the car at the beginning of this thread?

Hey Mike- I am amazed at the lack of rust on that firewall and radiator after all these years. Was that Alfa stored in the dry climate of the 'Merican southwest for all these years before you miraculously found it? Seriously though buddy, are you trying to keep up with the Thomas'? You are going to have a whole stable of CycleKarts one of these days if you keep it up. Awesome!

Hey Tom
The fire wall had all but corroded away so I choose to make a replacement from rust/corrosion proof product called plywood. The radiator I have "restored"winking smiley still wont hold water so to solve the overheating issue I will replace the 2.7 litre supercharged engine with an air cooled one.winking smiley The cars I am building aren't in the same race as Dennis and the stateside crew.

Mike, Dennis might put unbelievable finishes, but the enthusiasm comes from the same jar. When will you lift the lid on some of the Indian stuff you have done?

Ah yes, us Yanks do tend to add extra syllables to words, especially those Texans. As for my lack of geography skills, anything beyond "over yonder" gets a little fuzzy for me, so thanks for the tip there buddy winking smiley Amen to that about the enthusiasm coming from the same jar!
