Yep, get my best work done at night. Been out in the barn since 04:00, got
it warmed up to 40°F already this morning. Had to come in and warm the
toes, warm the coffee cup and feed the mutt. Seem like all I've been doin'
so far this winter in the shop is straightening up, moving around and a tiny
tiny bit of throwing out.
Got a few inches of snow last night so I'll be spending the rest of the
morning clearing the drive. Dang wind chill is dangerous though, bout
20 mph winds with gusts to 30 brings the skin temps close to the point
of frostbite. Might maybe think about a cab for the Kubota if this keeps up.
One thing to look forward to is.......only 60 more days of this till we start
the warm up.
Well, I better get back to work before the boss notices me missing, he's
a real task master you know.

In reply to # 28259 by Denny Graham .... I don't think the floor is more
than 35 or 40 and all day on that makes for cold feet....

A layer (or two) of that "jigsaw" foam rubber matting will help a lot with the cold concrete pulling heat out of your feet. Just set up a big enough area that you can move around without worrying about stepping off the edge. An infrared heater directed down at your the area where your hands usually are can help too (it'll warm the metal handles as well)

The sun is up, but you can hardly see my Model T and my 1936 Model N Tractor.

So....that didn't last to long!!!!!! Got a few things moved around in the shop and
when I came in to warm up, my "Big Old Wife" decided she had to drive into the
city to meet our daughter and go mall walking.
So.....out with the shovel instead of heading back to the barn. Topped out at 4°F
today with -15 as a wind chill, which means I only get about 15 minutes at a time
before the fingers and toes are numb.
Since the past few weeks have been occupied with bead roller and tooling I'm filling
in the warm up time in front of the confuser with lessons by Lazze.
Lazze Janssen that is, and that old Swed really knows his stuff and he's a great teacher.
I tain't as unfortunate as you Brian and Don, but I did get enough of that white stuff
that it warrants removal:

I wish that is all I was moving! We got more last night than the days before.
3 hrs and I am going back out to finish after hot soup and tea.
Love Lazzie and Covell, but the real deal is a kid that is on the Hot Rod shows!
Check out Jamey Jordan on youtube.

Jamey Jordan Signature Seriers Dies are a big item at Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool.
He's done a whole bunch of YouTube videos for them where he demos their bead rollers.
Since Grandma was a Swedish immigrant which makes me 1/4 Swede, I'm kind of partial
to Lazze. Another 1/4 is Irish, (how come we never hear from any Irish here on the forum? ).
The other half is just plain mutt.
I've gotten a lot of ideas for my dies from Lazze, in fact, that's what I was planning on working
on today if mother nature hadn't of crapped on me over night.
