Hello everyone,
This is my first message on this forum, and my first car.
20 days ago I started building a car for my son. His first birthday is February 17, and I want to give him this car. I hope I can finish it in time. In the coming days, I will send you more photos.

Greetings from Serbia.

Hello Nebojsa and welcome!
I am glad to see one compatriot here and especially from Smederevo that I like a lot and have some nice memories of visiting it!

I am sure that your son shall get a wonderful present for his birthday, even if it isn't finished totally. Anyway, now it is not nice weather to drive it around?

For me, it would be interesting to know age and size of your son, the same as the dimensions of the cockpit, to compare with my notes for my kid-car, just started.

You show the very high level of the woodwork, but design too! Please, inform us during the process!

Regards and greetings from Bern!

Zoran

My son is 1 year old. This car is currently big for him, so I will install RC commands. Later, when he grows, he will be able to manage.
I must to finish visually everything up to his birthday, later, I will only install the electric motor and rc commands.

The model is constructed according to the drawings for type 35. I am trying to do as much detail as possible. Dimensions of the model are 165x60 cm (about 65x23.6"winking smiley

That is awesome!

You are reminding me of my childhood. Dad would disappear to somewhere , working on something, then it would turn up for birthday, Christmas or some other reason. Very few store bought things, and I love that. One year it was a much bigger thing, 7 foot yacht called (in NZ) a P class. Wood was my birthday present (7 years) and together we built the boat for my Christmas present.

Sorry to take your thread off topic.

Wow you look to have done a really good job of bending the ply sheeting to shape, impressive stuff.
