Hey Dennis, had a little time to blow this morning while I was waking up, so I was
surfin' youtube for any updates on the Studebaker kart.
So...how's it goin', Seems as though it kind of came to an abrupt end. Are you keeping
it under wraps till it's coming out party. Maybe her debut at Tieton this year???
And have you thought about how your gonna stack them 4-high on the trailer????

Once past the buck building stage, the business becomes very serious indeed.
Those coachbuilders really are artisans.

Since I crashed my Monocar 16 months ago I have been working to get the old girl up and running and looking good again. If I had never smashed the Monocar all to hell then I would be finishing up the Studebaker right about now. I had the BMW at Tieton last year and I really missed my Monocar. The BMW is a cruiser not a racer so there was no chance to keep up with the big boys. I decided right then and there to rebuild and upgrade the Monocar since it has always been competitive at Tieton. I feel the more comfortable in the Monocar because it is sized to fit me.

I have raced the Monocar for four seasons and it was ready for some upgrades anyway, like a differential, hydraulic brakes, larger tie rods and a new paint job in the Thomas racing colors. (Blue and white). I am also reinstalling the wheel discs which I always liked. I am painting right now and the car is in pieces. I am filming video 4 of 4 right now of the series Rebuilding the Monocar.

The good news is that I'll have the Monocar ready for Tieton so when I return I'll be back on the Studebaker in earnest. I sure miss working on it!

It will be great to run with the Monocar at last!
It sure will look sharp in the blue and white. Sadly, the Team DIW Gypsy won't be there.
I wanted to see that matchup.
